    About Ventura

Ventura comes to us from the coffee farmers of Café Ventura and CAFICO, in and around San Marcos, Western Honduras.  It is grown at high elevations in multiple layers of shade, which is possible thanks to the preservation and diversity of the forests.

Our partnership with Café Ventura and the coffee farmers in this area includes a premium per pound supporting water and climate initiatives in the area via the Todos Al Agua program.

This light roast coffee delivers reminders of brown sugar, cranberry and lime zest.  Ventura is well-balanced as a pour over or drip brew, but is also exciting as a single origin espresso or americano.

Coffee that does good AND tastes good.  Salud!

    About Zambia Nsunzu

Zambia Nsunzu comes to us from the Northern province of Zambia, which has excellent growing conditions for Arabica coffee, with its proximity to the equator and abundant altitude. Selective harvesting is done by hand to ensure the coffee cherries are at peak ripeness before being pulped. The coffee is then fermented and washed before being sun-dried, resulting in a rich, complex flavor.

Traveling throughout Western and Southwestern Honduras, our mule visits with farming co-ops representing over 500 farms who grow this exceptional coffee. He says it’s uphill both ways, but getting the best coffee is never easy.

The bright citrus notes are softened with cocoa and dried apricot, much like how the mule is softened with a good scratch behind the ears.

This bag is full of whole bean coffee, roasted with pride in America’s Farm to Fork capitol of Sacramento, California.
